Don't u just love this guy.......Mel Gibson.

Quotes from Mel Gibson........
the man with.....The Patriot, Braveheart, The Passion, etc.

After about 20 years of marriage, I'm finally starting to
scratch the surface of what women want. And I think the
answer lies somewhere between conversation and chocolate.

I love women. They're the best thing ever created. If they
want to be like men and come down to our level, that's fine.

I tell you what really turns my toes up: love scenes with
68-year-old men and actresses young enough to be their
granddaughter.

That's like asking you to pick your favorite child... I do
however, think Bird on a Wire was one of my finest works.
Oscar caliber.

The Holy Ghost was working through me on this film, and
I was just direction traffic.

quote...Abraham Lincoln.

"It is the duty of nations as well as of men to own their
dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess
their sins and transgressions in humble sorrow, yet with
assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy
and pardon... Those nations only are blessed whose
God is the Lord."

Abraham Lincoln.

Good book......TSLOI

I am reading this book, The Seven Levels of Intimacy by
Matthew Kelly. So far, I am at pg 34 of 269. I can share
with you on how do I feel after carefully studying these few
pages. Hey....studying ok...not reading....

1) I enjoyed being alone.
2) I like to read.
3) I like to meet people.

I want to ask u this question.

Are you afraid being alone? Yes/No, why?

The point is that the first step toward intimacy with
others is intimacy with self. We become comfortable
with ourselves only when we acknowledge that we have
strengths and weaknesses. How do we learn to be
comfortable with ourselves? Only by spending time alone.

It is in solitude and silence that we learn most about
ourselves. Most people are not comfortable with themselves.
The first step toward experiencing true intimacy is getting
comfortable with yourself and learning how to enjoy
your own company.

Intimacy is mutual self-revelation. It is two people constantly
discovering and rediscovering each other. It is a never ending
process since people change. It is also a process......to be enjoyed.

Have a beautiful day.......greetings from San Diego.

No Coke........

As far as I remember, I have yet to have a glass of Coke
ever since I moved to San Diego. Good news huh. On the
other hand, I had a lot of boba tea. Good news huh huh.

David and Gabrielle's wedding. I made it !!

I woke up at 7am. I left my hotel at 7.15am and I know
I will have enuf time to catch my flight. My flight from
San Diego to Tucson on a Saturday at 8.20am. Plenty
of time to attend David and Gabrielle's wedding.

I drove to Avis and drop off the car. The Avis lady says
if only I am returning the car then I could leave it there.
Fine!! I thought I used to do that when I was in Sacramento.
Did they change to rule? My contract will end sometime in
April and she says when u leave the car there, it means
u are terminating the contract. What????

I went to get my car after talking to some people and
it took me a while to back up my car and drive out of the
parking lot. Later, I dropped off the car at the airport
parking. When I get to the airport, it was 7.45am.

After the security checks and walking to the terminal,
I missed my flight. The next flight was 1pm. I asked the
lady and she said I will arrive Tucson at 4pm. To my
disappointment, I said, I will miss their wedding!!

She was nice to reschedule me to fly to phoenix without
paying extra. So, the next flight leaves at 7.45am. Good.
PTL. My flight finally arrives AZ at 10.00am. By the time
I retrieve my checked luggage, it was 10.45am.

By golly, she called saying that I will not make it to the
wedding if she comes to get me, which is true. She needs
to drive from Tucson to PHX and back again. I will never
make it on time for the wedding. Errgh!!

I went to ask around for transportation and I was glad I
found the inter city shuttle. It will leave at 11.30am. By
the time the shuttle leaves Sky Harbor, it was 11.45am.

I finally arrived i10 and Ina around 1.10pm and she came
and get me. After all the driving and etc etc etc, I arrived
the church at 2.05pm and ....... Pachebel Canon in D has
just started. YAHOO!! PTL. Amen.

I was too tired and left at 9.15pm. Yes. 9.15pm. Those guys
did not leave the reception until midnite. It was good and it
was esp good, when I heard..............Pachebel Canon in D.

Z.....Z......Z....... B-E-A-U-tiful.

** AZ is 1hr ahead of CA in March.

driving.......

In Qualcomm, we are a community itself. We have our own
buy-sell classified and chats, on where to get the best deal
to get a tooth extracted, where to meet people, the best
restaurants in San Diego, places to hang out, etc.

Today, someone send out an email, my friend would like to
learn how to drive or something. It struck me. I love to teach
people how to drive. Back in Tucson, I taught a few students
how to drive and that includes my 2nd and 3rd room-mate.
No kidding!!

I like to teach people how to drive. Why? I guess a lot
of people don't really know how to drive. It seems to
me like many people are not sentitive enough about
their surroundings when they drive.

I have been driving since I was 17. I learned to drive
in Malaysia. My dad took me out with his car, a
1971 Fiat 600, for a spin. It will be on Sundays and I
would drive for 2 hrs every week. I did that for 2months.

It is a small car and under-powered. He will ask me to
drive on winding roads like the CA highway-1 and in the
city. Moreover, it is a stick gear. Of course, the car always
halt in the middle of the road and that happens often.

I took the written test and the on-the-road test and I
passed. My dad was happy; now that it was time for me
to drive him and my mum around. That was a trick on
why he wanted to teach me how to drive. Errr.....

I have been driving in SF Bay Area, Sacramento Metro,
Reno/Lake Tahoe, LA Metro, New Orleans to Atlanta,
Phoenix to Yellowstone NP, Sacramento to Vancouver,
AZ and San Diego Metro. Fast is COOL with safety.

I guess I have the patience to teach and in addition, I
want my students to be a courtesy driver like myself.
Ahem.

Bundesautobahn.......the official name for the highway
in Germany. Well, there are no speed limits in general
except in conditional limits. WOW!!

Of course, Germans in general drives
Audi(Vorsprung durch Technik), Volkswagen,
BMW(Bayerische Motoren Werke AG),
Mercedes-Benz, etc and ....they should slam the gaas.

In Memory of Ita Ford.

I hope you come to find that which gives life a deep
meaning for you. Something worth living for - maybe
even worth dying for, something that energizes you,
enthuses you, enables you to keep moving ahead.
I can't tell you what it might be - that's for you to find,
to choose, to love. I can just encourage you to start
looking and support you in the search.

Ita Ford, MM (1980)

Proton, apa pun boleh. (Proton, all can be done)

Once, there was a family known as Malaysia. In 1985,
they were blessed with their first born, Proton. The
family loved Proton all they can. They gave Proton
everything. They protected Proton from the bigger boys
in Kindergarten. They told Proton, "You're young, you
need protection from them. It's okay to make mistakes,
you're young. Even if you don't learn from
mistakes...it's okay...you are young." Proton became
spoilt. He always depended on parents and used up all
his allowance on useless things. When he had to do his
chores, he paid people to do it and the work is lousy,
causing the parents having to call repairmen to fix
all the mess that he made.

Anyway, when Proton was 10 (but he still acted like he
is 1 or 2 years old), he had a younger brother,
Perodua. At first, everyone thought this younger
brother will be like Proton. Anyway, this new baby was
more handsome and looks smarter than Proton. Malaysia
knew there is a possibilty Perodua could be smarter
than Proton.

Since they love Proton so much, they decided that
Perodua can only learn a few things. Cannot learn the
same thing as Proton. This is so that Perodua wouldn't
beat Proton at what Proton is doing. Although Perodua
was also protected by Malaysia, he learn to be
independent very fast. He made good friends with
Daihatsu, who had an elder brother Toyota. The two of
them helped Perodua in everything. Perodua, being
independent and smart, learnt a lot and in a short
while, was becoming as good as, if not better, than
Proton. Malaysia realized that Perodua was becoming
better than his brother. Although proud of Perodua,
they still love Proton best. They paid Lotus (which is
older and well known worldwide) to be friends with
Proton.

Using this advantage, Proton mentioned Lotus everytime
he wanted to tell people about himself. On this own,
he was still the same. Moreover,Proton is always not
updated. When doing his work, he still uses the
typewriter and refuses to use the computer. Perodua,
so much younger, used the computer, with broadband for
his work. Perodua was improving so much that Toyota
has assigned him with his work, codename Avanza.

2005. Proton is 20 years old, Perodua only 10. It was
obvious that Perodua was the more successful of the
two siblings. What is worse,
Proton said he still need his parents to help him for
another 10 years. He still need to protection from the
big boys. In May 2005, Perodua was about the show
Malaysia his best work so far...codename Myvi.

Proton, being jealous...quickly came up with an
unprofessional remark about Perodua's work and show
his work at the same time as Perodua on
purpose...codename Savvy

The future of Malaysia and her two kids are still
unknown. But it would be obvious that Perodua will
shine, leaving Proton crying. It would be a wonder if
in 2015, Proton will ask Malaysia for another 10 years
of help and protection...maybe this time...protection
from Perodua as well...........

Proton: 1st generation "Malaysian made" car
Perodua: 2nd generation "Malaysian made" car

Hmm.....I still like my 97 Honda Accord.

amti, dal, basmati, naan, paratha, bonda........

I don't believe what's happening these few days. I am
eating too much. Eating too much Asian food.

I met this guy at the new hire orientation and he is from
India. He is a fresh graduate. Later, I realized that
he stays in the same hotel as me and just a door away.

He took me to a few Indian restaurants and all of them
are good. Of course, there are so many Chinese and
Indian in my company and in San Diego. So....I have
been eating a lot of Indian food, at least once a day.
We go out for lunch and dinner. He takes me to Indian
restaurant and......Rubio's. And I take him to chinese
and vietnamese restaurants. He kept on asking me
if they serve tortilla. I felt like slapping him u know.
Those are authentic asian restaurants. Well, all he
knows is ..... fried rice. So sad!!

He is a pretty cool guy although a small fart. He's a
smart as* okay. We'll see what God wants me to do
about him. I mean, both of us agrees that the US is
evil. Can u believe it??

Last but not least....tandoori chicken with lemon juice,
Yum Yum!!

Pacific Ocean is incredible.....

The weekend was good.

Nice weather though it was expected to rain. No rain at all!!

I went to Ranch99 finally and I bought a lot of stuff. It is actually
not too far from Mira Mesa, less than 10miles. I had a haircut
as well and I didn't really like.

I went to Torrey Pines and it was just awesome. It is located
to the South of Del Mar. I saw the waves crashing the shores
and it was beautiful. Some part of the area, reminds me of
bisons feeding on the grass at Yellowstone Nat Park. Across
is the B-E-A-U-tiful Pacific Ocean. I said, "I love you too Lord."

cooking porridge...... on the phone lah.

Ha.....I just recently realized that I cannot live without
a phone, a cellphone to be precise. Nowadays, u can live
without a home phone. Most people has a cellphone and
a high speed internet via cable.

I have been making phone calls every nite and they last
at least 30mins. I wonder what is going on? I am so glad
that after 9pm, all calls are free. Talk as much as u want.
COOL!! Hands free is super cool as well. U can talk and
do something else with your 10 fingers.

Someday......u will have the whole cellphone, embedded
to your body. When that happens, I guess u can even
have a fax machine in your body too. I wonder where
the fax will come out. I need to go to the restroom. I need
to pick up my fax. COOL!!

blog of the day.

It's coming to 10days since I move to San Diego. Well, I am
still on my temporary housing. I never like staying in the
hotel. Why? I don't feel @home. I can't seem to really sit down
to unwind although I am on vacation or ..... temp housing.
Worst of all, I am limited to what I want to eat and cook.
Every meal I have to eat out and I feel uncomfortable though
I have food allowance. Yeah, I cannot imagine if I take a
long trip to somewhere and ....... gosh..... HELP!!

I cannot wait to move to my permanent housing. I checked
some places and they seem to look like a decent neighborhood.
I don't feel comfortable to live in the luxurios apartments like
one of my buddy who is willing to pay $2K rental for a 2BR/2BA
mediteranean condo aka Tuscany condo in La Jolla.

I have some stuff in the storage as well. Unpacking is another
pain though I cleaned up. I trashed a lot of junks. Moving is no
fun!! Then, u have to subscribe to new utilities....I think I'll get
cable internet and no more cable tv for the latter has too too
much junks. Junk programs all nite, waste of time. Of course,
I need electricity.

So.....everything is new and all worries, all headaches......
esp with my mails....forwarding....change of address......
Guide me O Lord.......

1) Is that the best you can do?

2) I was wrong, will you forgive me?

3) I love you with all my heart.

4) Love one another as you love yourself.

Submitted 3 resumes, anymore????

All systems running......all computers up and running....
My personal profile and misc were updated too. Most
of all, I submitted 3 resumes as my referrals...... COOL!!

Orientation.

I thought it was taking a oriental person and rotate him/her.
Anyway, orientation program was good. We played with some
LEGO to create the new next generation product and all of
us had fun. In summary, I learned this.....

persistent and passion......by Dr Irwin Jacobs.

Enjoy what u do, have passion in what u do, then try to make
a BIG business out of it. That's when the thing called, fasting,
comes in. You are so into what u are doing that u .... fast.

Monday, March 06, 2006

Why should we fast?

Fasting is a traditional form of penance and helps us to
develop willpower and temperance. Limiting the
quality of food or drink is sometimes recommended
as a way of cleansing the body and when penitential,
helps cleanse our souls.

By creating hunger and a desire for that which is denied,
we are reminded of the reason why we are fasting. We
also fast to sympathize with those who are hungry or
poor. Fasting helps to make us more loving and
compassionate.

First Sunday in San Diego.

I am searching for my permanent housing and currently
at Mira Mesa. A friend suggested that this city is decent
and less expensive to live compared with other cities in
San Diego Metro. I don't think I want to live too far away
since traffic is bad along the freeway. U do not only waste
time stuck in the traffic but u waste a lot of fuel.

Anyway, I went to http://sandiego.craigslist.org and
found some pretty decent apartments. I drove around
the neighborhood during the daytime and evening. It looks
fine. Mira Mesa so far is near to the beach La Jolla, chinese
restaurants + Ranch99, my office, etc. It seems like a very
strategic location. Besides, there is a church nearby too.

I cooked some food in this tiny little kitchen. It was good.
Later, I realize that I can claim up to $25 for food during
my temporary housing. COOL!! 200......here I come....
200lbs lah....

Saturday, March 04, 2006

First Saturday at San Diego.

I had a good sleep......Thank U!!

All the stuff that was in my car, most of them are in
the hotel right now. My printer, laptop, CD burner,
clothings, herbs and spices, etc. It took me 2 trips
to get all the stuff. I was glad that my room is at the
ground floor, else....I will definitely break my back.
Another one, it did not rain when I arrived at the
hotel. PTL.

Woke up and did some unpacking in this service
apartment. Clean up my 'office'; I set up my printer,
laptop, and it seems like.....i am trying to Hooray.com.

I will be at this hotel until early Apr as part of the
temporary housing. It's a pretty neat hotel and the
shower rail is curved. It makes the shower place big
enuf to handle.......big customers.

Did u know that when u call 911 for someone, u have
to mention if the injured needed a XL wheel chair or
a XL ambulance. There was a case whereby 4 crew
emergency members needed to transport the injured
and, the injured fell from the stretcher. It could not
support the injured!! So, pls pls pls remember about
the XL wheel chair and XL ambulance.

Later, I finally get to see Mira Mesa and La Jolla
under the sun. I arrived late last nite and it was
drizzling. Of course, B-E-A-tiful saturday. La Jolla
and Torrey Pines Gliderport are awesome.
Pacific Ocean.....dazzling!!

At Torrey Pines Gliderport, many people performing
para-sailing and hand-gliding. It is a magnificant
sight to see people up in the air.....reminds me of my
skydive. I went with 2 other guys for a farewell activity.
I think it was not a smart farewell activity. When I
touched down, my face was pale and my whole body
was weak. It was a good experience and I don't mind
to do it again actually. Care to join me for a fall????

Anyway, I was on free fall for 45secs and 5mins
with the chute.

I did some homework. Homework about where is
this and that. I searched and found a lot. I did a little
map on where is......Costco, Trader Joes, Ralphs,
Ranch99, movie theather, LA Fitness, etc. It was a
good map. Of course, I found where I needed to go
on Monday morning......QCOM orientation. Perhaps
later, I will do something like what I did for LA.

Basically, every time I visit my sister in LA, she will
take me to restaurants and after a while, I have
many business cards on good restaurants. So, what
I did was to put everything down on a simple map,
illustrating where is that and that. I think I could
come up with something similar for Tucson. Later.....

In San Diego CA finally.

Wow!! Here I am......San Diego California.

The last couple of days were hectic, tired and under
stress. I don't believe it, a month has passed. I could
still remember my last day with TI-Tucson AZ. On
Monday will be my first day with Qualcomm.

The last 2 weeks before my move, I was over toxicated
with sushi. I went to Sushi-Ten, Sushi Hama, Sushi
Garden and Sachiko Sushi. Could not remember how
many times but.....I had too much Omega-3. That's
good news hehehe...

Stress due to packing and cleaning. Stress due to....have
to leave awesome buddies in Tucson. Stress due to...
housing....to rent out my hse in Tucson and trying to get
a decent place in San Diego. Stress due to.... X Y and Z.

One thing good about moving is that, u get to clean up
and get rid of whatever u don't need. I think I did a good
job cleaning up this time since I did not do any clean up
when I move to my house in May 2005. The schedder
helped a lot btw.

The movers came yesterday morning and what a relieve
that most of the stuff is out of sight. It took them, 2 of
them, 4 hrs to pack and take them away. I guess if u have
a lot of stuff, it could take a day. In the evening, there left
some boxes that I will load into my car. I was unsure if
they will fit into my car. I gave some beer and a bottle of
JD to the movers. Afterall, I need to give away 3 bottles
of wine and many other fridge stuff.

I had a good time at Applebees last nite with some friends.
They gave me a good good-bye gift; 12 autographs on a
napkin. I will frame it that's for sure.

This morning, I cleaned up the bathrooms and did scrubbing
like never before. The calcium deposit, they were stuck to
the wall of the shower. Later, I cleaned up the kitchen and
the garage and there left some boxes. I am not sure if they
will fit into my car. I was so nervous until I packed all of them
in. The carpet cleaners came and they were shocked to see
that I was trying to pack of them in. I shocked them even
more by jam packing all of it. I still have room to take
Mauritzia for lunch.

We had a good lunch at El Merendero. This place is good for
Mexican style of seafood. We had the Shrimp Cocktail and
a fried fish. The former comes in a big goblet and it has a least
20 big shrimps. The fried fish, it was crunchy and crispy and
it served with pinto beans, spanish rice, lettuce, tomato, onion
and avocado. It was good, afterall, we had horchata.

I had a good conversation during lunch.

The glass is half full.

Thursday, March 02, 2006

They speak English that u will not understand.

Is this a bad attitude?

Ever since I was a kid, I always try to keep my
conversations in private although I was in a public
place. How?

Well, I speak English, Cantonese, Hockkien,
Chinese and Malay/Indonesian. So, I guess I have
many choices to keep my dialogue safe huh.

Sometimes, it is bad to speak a language that
no one understands if u are among your friends.
If everyone knows everyone, I feel it is all right.

This British and this American are in Malaysia
and one of them ask, What are those guys
speaking? The other replied, They are speaking
English.

I wondered if there is a poster or something
about the evolution of language.

Leaving Tucson.........parte uno.

The movers finally came this morning. I will be moving
to San Diego California. It has been 4yrs and 7mths in
Tucson Arizona. Wow, time flies really fast. I could
still remember my first couple of days in Tucson.

I arrived at the end of May 2001 and I arrived just in
time for the desert summer. In a week, the temperature
shot to 108F(42C) and it is dry......13% humidity. I had
a horrrrrrible time with getting itchy skin and thirsty.
Drink more water and put some lotion. As of now, I am
still having the same problem, dry irritating skin.
Sometimes, I scratched and the skin turned red. Then,
I realize it was a fake itch. Aargh!!

Where Is The Love.

Artist: Black Eyed Peas Lyrics

Song: Where Is The Love Lyrics

What's wrong with the world mama?
People living like aint got no mamas
I think the whole worlds addicted to the drama
Only attracted to the things that bring you trauma
Overseas yeah we tryin to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin
In the USA the big CIA the Bloodz and the Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And if you hatin you're bound to get irate
Yeah madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
You gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love y'all

People killing people dying
Children hurtin you hear them crying
Can you practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father Father Father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?(where is the lovex3)(the love2x)

It just ain't the same all ways have changed
New days are strange is the world the insane?
If love and peace so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations dropping bombs
Chemical gases filling lungs of little ones
With ongoing suffering
As the youth die young
So ask yourself is the loving really strong?
So I can ask myself really what is going wrong
With this world that we living in
People keep on giving in
Makin wrong decisions
Only visions of them livin and
Not respecting each other
Deny thy brother
The wars' going on but the reasons' undercover
The truth is kept secret
Swept under the rug
If you never know truth
Then you never know love
Where's the love y'all?(I don't know)
Where's the truth y'all?(I don't know)
Where's the love y'all?

People killing people dying
Children hurtin you hear them crying
Can practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father father father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?(where is the lovex3)(the lovex2)

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm getting older y'all people get colder
Most of us only care about money makin
Selfishness got us followin the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting their young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what the see in the cinema
Whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness and equality
Instead of spreading love, we're spreading anomosity
Lack of understanding, leading us away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feeling under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feeling down
It's no wonder why sometimes I'm feeling under
I gotta keep my faith alive, until love is found

People killing people dying
Children hurtin you hear them crying
Can you practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father Father Father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?(fade)
