that makes me wonder. what happens if Dorothy used to be David and
Joe used to be Jessica. i mean if they undergo sex change.

there is a good malaysian resturant in tucson Arizona named,
Seri Melaka. the food is pretty good..BUT... the CKT is $12.
nasi lemak is $12. the sambal shrimp is $15..... 7 "big" shrimps.

here is what happened to my KGG friend. he is also a msian but
a dumb, ultra dumb malaysian. he went to the restaurant for
take away. he told them that he wanted to buy the sambal shrimp
for a party of 12. 15minutes later, the bill was $80. i could
never understand how did it ended up $80 but i counted the
shrimps; it was 30.

lessons learned:
1) always think before ordering sambal shrimp to go.
2) never ever say to buy for a party of 12. there are other
dishes than the sambal shrimp okay.
3) i will kill myself to pay $80 for that sambal shrimp.
4) never KGG to follow another Msian friend to a msian restaurant
to buy sambal shrimp worth $80...it's USD80. enuf to buy a
8 course dinner for 10 at a restaurant in PG.

i finally found a good weekend to run my errands. f was away
for a retreat and i have been delaying to do some stuff.

i woke up early last saturday and headed to the mechanic to
fix the a/c. i wasn't hoping that it was the side-effect of having
an over-heated engine. anyway, he checked and found some minor
problem. it was just a loose connection, that's all. phew!!

next on my list, my Nikon SLR(analog camera ok) broke sometime ago.
i took it for a repair. he quoted $90 to fix my camera. i asked how
much if i were to trade it in. he said $30. what??? anyway, i want
to fix it. i bought it in 1998 and so far, it works fine until
recently. most of all, it has sentimental value. photos with....ahem.

later, i asked him if he knows any decent place to fix my watch.
he went to his computer and google it. he found a place nearby and
he printed a map for me. cool!! a couple of minutes later, i asked
him if he knows any good place to fix my laptop. he said it's not
worth it to fix. he told me a bunch of stuff which i don't really
understand. well, i told him i have my laptop with me.

i brought it in and he looked at it. he tried and he advised me
to reformat and re-install the OS. he also made a copy of the
OS service pack for me. oh yes, the OS is windows, duh.....

afterwards, i thanked him. talking about service, that was beyond
excellent and i don't even know him. i found out that it was family
business and business is good. i headed off to fix my watch. all it
needed to be done was to replace the battery. i think the battery
was dead a yr ago. i have a cellphone and it tells time. so, why
do we need to wear a watch?? (look.... i have a rolex....)

after fixing my watch, i went over to another store nearby. i asked
how much does it cost to put on a new sole for my shoes. he quoted
me $35. ??? with that $, i could buy another pair of shoes!! sigh!!

ok..ok....i am done with all my errands. next, i wanted to go to
the indonesian mass at the San Diego State University campus. i called
up to get directions and i could not find the newman center. i was
driving for 40 minutes around the campus. i was almost there but not
there. too bad chin....... i headed home later.....

i had a good run on sunday morning at torrey pines state park next
to the pacific. it was a good good run. there were a lot of people
running btw. so....i guess i was inspired. the weather was good and
i was kicking. i ran for 5miles and currently, i am shopping for
a watch. a watch that functions to tell time, heart rate, distance
and it looks like Spock would beam me up. (hint hint)

i went to get her at julian(after her retreat) and that place is 1.5hrs
away from san diego. it's up in the mountains.... and for dinner,
in-n-out burger!! yum yum!! with onion and animal style.

my co-worker whose office is very near to mine is an italian,
the sloppy version who don't care less about appearance.
as i mentioned earlier, i have my own audio system in my
office, a discman with a JBL creature2 speakers. anyway, i
have a whole bunch of CDs in my office and i played them
randomly. i was playing roxette's the best and i spotted
him walking back and forth more often as usual. finally, he
dropped by my office and he says, that is roxette right.
i said Yeah...the best band of all. he was smiling and
showing his thumbs up. he asked me where did i get the CD?
i said in Msia. he said cool.....

did i tell u that my car over-heated last thu due to a leak
in the radiator? anyway, she came and get me with my car. i was
driving and i spotted some smoke in front of the car after a while.
i did not realize what was going on and later, more smoke and i
smelt something. i was still drving on the street.

after a couple of minutes, i realized that something is definitely
not all right since i was smelling burnt rubber. i looked at the
dashboard and saw the temperature went to H. without doubts, i
quickly pulled over. i opened the hood and it was confirmed that
the radiator was leaking. bad news, i need to replace the radiator.
good news....... good news???? yeah....good news, i am 1/2mile
away from mechanic. i waited for a while for the car to cool down.

after 15minutes, i drove to the mechanic and i was so afraid that
the car might blow up. nevertheless, i made it to the mechanic. PTL.
he replaced the radiator and the weak battery.

she was supposed to meet up with a lady that was selling her car
at the mechanic's place for inspection. yes, f sold her car earlier
and looking for another. well, 1 stone kills 2 birds, right???

well, before buying a used car from a third party, it is a good idea
to bring the car to the mechanic for inspection. that is subject to
the seller but they are usually okay with that.

so......she sold her 2000 nissan sentra(98000miles) and got herself
a 2002 honda civic(37000miles).

i came to know that robert kiyosaki who authored Rich Dad Poor Dad
is not who he really is. i heard some stories about him and his
books are not actually his idea but it's a mere compilation of
several other people's idea. is he smart or is he not? it depends
on how u look at the coin. in addition, i came to know that the
Rich Dad does not exist at all. so???

anyhow, i learned a lot from his books. the ideas are excellent
and does it really matter how did the idea came from. his books are
all financial education and i think they are good books.

anyway, back to the news, these are my suggestions......

a) send the drivers to San Diego for a class of driving. that class
will teach them to be fast and precise. yeah, msian drivers are
like drivers from Phoenix AZ; fast and dumb.

b) MAGLEV(bullet train in Japan) between PG - KL - JB. if they are to
build it, the Msian government has to sell PG to US. why? US needs
the 51th state aka another CHINatown selling durians.

c) hire white American drivers since they can talk & BS the whole trip.

this is a very interesting website; everything

the annoying dumb drivers that have no idea

i don't understand why some people are crazy about
horror movies? movies like, the grudge, the ring,
amityville, exorcist, etc. they feel good watching
some ghosts killing some human? or some human
trying to kill some ghosts?

i don't really enjoy horror movies that much. they
are just disturbing and most of all, it stays in
your mind. to make things worse, it's gross esp
with all the blood here and there. heads flying
here and there..... eyes popping out from the head...

i remember watching the amityville when i was young,
very young, it scared me. i did not really watched the
whole movie since i closed my eyes and plugged my ears
as soon as the music gets creepy and throughout the
entire movie, the music is creepy. duh!!

the story line of most of the horror movies are pretty
straight forward because i think they just want to scare
u, make u jump off your sofa. i watched the eye and
i did not close my eyes thru the whole movie. at one
point, my legs just moved and i was surprised. overall,
i made it thru the movie.

i prefered suspense movies over horror movies like
the sixth sense and the others. they have good story
lines and the music is awesome......it's the music that
scares u okay....not the flying heads nor kidneys.

overall, i still prefer optimus prime and bender.

last weekend was good. i did not have to work!! most of all,
i had a good dinner on friday, saturday and sunday. yeah,
when it's weekend, it's all about food... MUNCH!!.

friday evening, we went to this japanese restaurant. it was
gooood. saturday, we went to joe's crab shack. it's something
like in between long john silver's and red lobster and it's
at seaport village. most of all, it was my first time and
the fried calamari was good!! i wonder why it is always serve
with marinara sauce. all i need was Lingham's chilly sauce.
that should be BEST. that place is near downtown san diego
and to me, it's something like gurney drive but much better.

there are a lot of stores, restaurants, piers, hotels, etc.
most of all, i can walk along the shore, see the ocean and
see a lot of the yatch. people run and there are those
trishaws? i don't know what they are called. i spotted one
of them with 6 men on board. one guy pedals and 6 men on
board. i think they kill to kill him. poor guy!!

we came back and got the The Others DVD. we wanted to
watch and we were too chicken out. after 20mins, we turn it
off. the music creeps into our bones that's the problem.
i felt that the music was very well composed. it was the
music that freaked us out bad...... :P

i ran 4.5miles on sunday morning. i ran from my
place to her place. i have always wanted to run on sundays.
i thought it was 6miles. so sad!! i had a bad cramp on my
right leg and i figured, i had to do it all the way. when
i run, i left my ID, $, keys, cellphone at my place or in the
office. i mean, i am in the middle of the distance and i
don't have $ and cellphone, what can i do huh? i just continue
to run and i was so happy that i knocked at her door,
in one piece. i have to run at least 10miles a week. that
reminds me of Forrest Gump....Run Forrest Run!!

so after lunch, we finally watched The Others DVD. it was good
and it had quite a similar story line as Sixth Sense.
Nicole Kidman did a great job. when u see her in that movie,
her facial expression makes u uncomfortable.

i cooked dinner and all i can is....PTL for all the good food!!
