the lyrics
----------
I need a double cheeseburger and hold the lettuce
Don't be frontin' son no seeds on a bun
We be up in this drive thru
Order for two
I gots a craving for a number nine like my shoe
We need some chicken up in here
In this dizzle

my training log file.

the christmas long holidays and new year holidays jeopardized my
trainings a little..... and of course, i had a bad cold and i did
not run for a week........

The Italian Job.

1 down......2 to go. there are 3 half marathons for the
Triple Crown Half Marathon. anyway, i am still alive after the run.
i went to bed at around 9.45pm yesterday. i woke up around 11.45pm since the
heat woke me up. i set the heater a little too warm i guess. so...i am awake
and i can't get back to bed. i ended up watching a movie and finally
fell asleep at 1.30am.

i woke up at 5am.....yes....5am and quickly get all things done and headed
to peter's place. by the time i met him, it was around 6.45am. we quickly
headed to the starting place and when we got there, it was already 7.15am.
the half-marathon will start at 7.30am. at this time of the year, it's
cold, esp in the morning. i had to wear my track pants over my running shorts
to avoid leg cramps. also, i was wearing a long sleeve running t-shirt.
on top of that, my break-fast was only a cup of soymilk; no more, no less.
i had my fuel belt which can carry 4 small bottles of energy drinks btw.

i heard the bang moments later and off we go. there were like 8000 people.
i think 6000 is the half marathoners and the rest are marathoners. i was
freezing. some folks wear gloves and a jacket. well after a while, you
could see track pants & jackets lying along the path. people just left their
stuff on the road.

after some time, we were running by the coast and of course, it's cold....
come on.... it's 8am and in jan and next to the pacific ocean.
u can imagine that! i was so glad that i wore my track pants else like the last
time, i had a bad cramp on my right leg. i ran and ran and in no time, i was
at the mile 7 post. hmm...i was doing pretty good. things started to crawl
into my legs as i passed the 10mile post. i began to feel that my muscles
in my legs are yelling at me.

i was still wearing my track pants and the last 3 miles were like it never
ends. i drank all my energy drinks and i began to get some water from the
water station. i had 4 cups of water at the end. my body was dehydrated and
i was glad that i drank a lot of fluids.

my longest runs were 8 miles and when i looked back, i need to actually
ran at least the entire course of 13 miles once. i really felt the kick
after the 8 mile post.

my legs are hurting right now....we'll see what will happen tomorrow.
PTL......

length: 13miles (20km)
time: 2hrs 40mins
average pace: 12.5mins/mile

with the crowd, my heart rate goes up by 5. the good thing, moral supports
from by standers and thank-u Mr Odin.....

can't wait.......

i got my flight tickets for my trip to Malaysia finally.
and, it's on Singapore Airlines via Taipei and Spore from LAX.
yup, i am the lone ranger again. my sister is supposed to
come along too but have to back out since they needs to
take care of my niece's schooling registration. for F,
she is not taking any chance dealing with the US consulate
at jakarta. she can go but the big Q is, what are the
chances that she cannot reenter the US. it's not a good idea
to take this kind of risk. as she always says, next time lah.

the best part of this trip is.....Chinese New Year...it's on
Feb 18th. i think the last time i celebrated CNY was many years
ago. and this time....i will be back in PG. how cool is that huh.
i can't wait to see my parents, my buddies and eat all the good
stuff. there will be a special food preparation since it's CNY.
those once a year dishes u know.

of course, i missed my PDA3907. oh...it's my honda C-100 moped.
it's fast and it always beat the traffic. yeah....another maniac
on the road.....

Coming to America.......... David Beckham.

http://www.cnn.com/
Soccer superstar David Beckham has agreed to a five-year deal with the
Los Angeles Galaxy, leaving the Real Madrid club at which he enjoyed
worldwide popularity.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/soccer/01/11/beckham.mls/index.html?cnn=yes
David is truly the only individual that can build the bridge between soccer
in America and the rest of the world.

Beckam needs to explain and to demo to Americans that football is to
kick the ball into the goal post.

I hope he's gonna like Taco Bell.

Farewell Chiang Ti Ming..........

Quiet funeral for Malaysian genius
----------------------------------
MALAYSIAN genius Chiang Ti Ming's funeral was a quiet one. Only close
family members attended it, major Chinese newspapers reported.

Sin Chew Daily reported that the ceremony was held behind closed doors
in Chiang's house in Seremban at 9.30am on Monday. The hearse later
proceeded to a Christian ceremony.

Chiang, 31, died on Saturday morning.

He was the youngest student ever to be admitted into the prestigious
California Institute of Technology almost two decades ago. He was
then 15.

Chiang again made news when he graduated from Cornell University
at the age of 16.

the year end holidays are gone.

finally.....i am on the run again....today, i did pretty good.

distance: 6miles
time: 1hrs 15mins
pace: 12.5mins/mile
heart rate: average 163bpm
temperature: 59^F
humidity: 63%

a perfect day to run. i could actually run more. it's just that
when i hit the 3 mile mark, it's already 12.45pm. i had to turn
back at los penasquitos state park which is 5mins from my office.
i think i should be able to hit between 8 to 10miles this weekend.

this is why i don't like long holidays. it jeopardized my trainings.
i was in lake tahoe doing snow-boarding from 22nd to 25th and i was
in las vegas on dec 30th and 31st. it was a good holiday to me and
her but not our pockets. nevertheless, all of us need a break.....
see some snow, see some crazy people, and the whole nine yards.
