Anima Sana In Corpore Sano.

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear
company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball
shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name
ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase
"Anima Sana In Corpore Sano", which when translated expresses
the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the
acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the
best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total
health and fitness.
ASICS® products were introduced to the United States in 1977 and
brought with them an incredible story of athletic performance and
technical advancements, a philosophy which still holds true today.

hope.

To wish for something with expectation of its fulfillment.

To look forward to with confidence or expectation.

The theological virtue defined as the desire and search for a
future good, difficult but not impossible to attain with God's help.

Hope is a powerful word. It keeps us going. Imagine our world,
there is no hope, no hope in u, me, us....... Horrible huh.

NICKELBACK: SOMEDAY LYRICS

How the hell'd we wind up like this
And why weren't we able
To see the signs that we missed
And try to turn the tables
I wish you'd unclench your fists
And unpack your suitcase
Lately there's been too much of this
But don't think it's too late

(Chorus)
Nothing's wrong
Just as long as you know that someday I will
Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it alright
But not right now
I know you're wondering when
You're the only one who knows that
Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it alright
But not right now
I know you're wondering when

Well I'd hope that since we're here anyway
That we could end up saying
Things we've always needed to say
So we could end up staying
Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Let's rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a Hollywood horror

Repeat Chorus

(Intermission)

How the hell'd we wind up like this,
And why weren’t we able
To see the signs that we missed
Try to turn the tables
Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Let's rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a Hollywood horror

Repeat Chorus

Tim Robbins in his movie, Shawshank Redemption.

Dear Red. If you're reading this,
you've gotten out. And if you've
come this far, maybe you're willing
to come a little further. You
remember the name of the town,
don't you? I could use a good man
to help me get my project on
wheels. I'll keep an eye out for
you and the chessboard ready.
(beat)
Remember, Red. Hope is a good
thing, maybe the best of things,
and no good thing ever dies. I will
be hoping that this letter finds
you, and finds you well. Your
friend. Andy.

By now, tears are spilling silently down Red's cheeks. He
opens the other envelope and fans out a stack of new fifty-
dollar bills. Twenty of them. A thousand dollars.

Red:
I hope I can make it across the
border. I hope to see my friend
and shake his hand. I hope the
Pacific is as blue as it has been
in my dreams.
(beat)
I hope.

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out
his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
Romans 5:5

Who.....

1) When something wonderful happens to you, who are the
first people you want to tell.

2) When tragedy strikes, who do you want to be with?

3) Whom do you want at your bedside keeping you company
when you are sick?

4) Who encourages you when you fail?

5) Who challenges you gently to be succeed?

6) Whose life do you want to significantly impact with your life?

One of the most lethal word.

Whatever.

Think about this simple expression, which has become one of
the most common colloquialisms of our age. It has become the
creed of a whole generation. Well, what does that word means?
It means....

1) I don't care.

2) Leave me alone.

3) I can't be bothered.

4) I am indifferent.

5) Do whatever u want.

The worst is, when u say that word, you are a really bad listener.

Think about this, why do we have 2 ears and a mouth?

It's all about psychology.

Pessimistic:
I can't (verb) it!

Optimistic:
How can I (verb) it?

Well, the glass is half empty? The glass is half full?

sales.........

Underestimating the importance of sales:

"You could have the best idea in the world, but if you
can't sell it, you won't be successful."

3rd day of training.....

cranium cracking,
cereblum bleeding,
heart burning,
stamak(stomach) drumming

worst of all, Gold is trading @ US$720 an ounce.

Quotes from Mother Teresa.

I am Albanian by birth. Now I am a citizen of India. I am
also a Catholic nun. In my work, I belong to the whole world.
But in my heart, I belong to Christ.

I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's
wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a
beautiful experience?

Let me google his name. Do you Yahoo?

Why Google is a verb and Yahoo isn't

For years Yahoo has tried to push their motto, 'Do you Yahoo?', trying to make their brand name into a verb. Google has been trying, in vain, the opposite, to extend that they started sending trademark letters to websites using Google as a verb. But the fact that Google is a verb and Yahoo isn't goes a long way in explaining the differences between the two Internet powers.

The search engine wars are starting up. Yahoo dumped Google and we're all waiting for Microsoft to get their secret weapon out and kick Google. Well, maybe not in this version, or the next, but how does 3.1 sound. But let's concentrate on Google and Yahoo for a bit and especially the verbness of both names.

Yahoo has always tried to be a complete internet solution, from discussion groups, to mail, to homepage building and commerce. Yahoo doesn't want to be a portal, a place where you start your Internet adventures, but wants to be the Internet or at least a lifestyle on Internet. That's why they would like to be a verb. Do you Yahoo implies that Yahooing is a better way of internetting.

Google is the opposite. Google doesn't try to be everything for the Internetter, Google does only one thing: search. Whether in newsgroups, shops, images or the plain old web, searching is what Google does best. It makes to google as a verb much more attractive than to yahoo, which is why Google doesn't want the verb to become popular; before you know it, people are googling at the new search engine of Yahoo.

Yahoo wants to be everything, wants to be a lifestyle and thus to be a verb. Google wants to be one thing and wants to be unique and therefore doesn't want to be a general term like a verb.

Thoughts of the day,

The strongest lesson is that you must live a good,
productive life. Be generous and be open. The
material things in the long run do not pay off. What
ultimately counts is the richness of your relationships
with people. Only life is priceless. So, live life to its fullest.

One more time the earth has completed its rotation
around the sun, one year has passed by. The big
question now is to ask, what have we done during the
orbit.

Opportunity never knocks twice.

What can we learn from this phrase and how can it applies
to our lives? Well, first of all, what is opportunity? It means
a chance to do something, etc. If you look again, what are the
things that u want? So, when doing a thorough examination,
ask yourself, what kind of caviets that limits you to the things
that u want/to do?

Say for example, u waited for the bus and bus A comes, u
looked at it and.......neh, it's too jammed pack. Bus B comes,
u tell yourself that, it doesn't have a/c. You waited and
waited for an hr and finally, Bus C comes. U waived at it but
it ignored you. Another 10mins, a crappy old bus that seems
to be dissasemble anytime comes along. You looked at your
watch and it's already 8pm. You do not know what to do and,
without thinking, u waived at the bus and it stopped. U get in
and ....... the bus stinks!! There are trash everwhere!!

This is life........life is like a box of chocolates, u never know
what u gonna get. Why wait? Why wait for the best? Is there
such thing as ...... the BEST? Perfect? P-E-R-F-E-C-T??

Another phrase that tags along very well........
It is better to regret for what u have done, than to regret for
what u should have done.

Penang Bridge.

I got this photo not too long ago. It's a neat photo
of the Penang Bridge in Malaysia. It is one of the
longest bridge in Asia. Yup, u can tell that it's
hot and humid all year round and that makes
u sticky. Enjoy..... Pulau Pinang, Pulau Mutiara,
Pearl of the Orient, Prince of Wales island.
